T ake one 16oz glass.

Fill 1/5 with ice.

Fill with vodka of choice until ice floats to 1/3.

Fill remainder with Spicy V8 up to 2cm from rim.

Grind pepper until your hand feels fatigued.

Quickly shake ten drops of Worcestershire sauce.

Vigorously pat a bottle of Tabasco sauce 20 times.

Top with a dash of celery salt.

Note: do not use celery, it is a vile weed.

Stir vigorously.

Sip and ensure that the first taste is vodka, but the rest is hot sauce.

Enjoy .

A drink with no gin?  It’s like I don’t even know you anymore, man.

I will admit to debating replacing the Tabasco with Cholula. Mix is just a cop out though.

I also like a dash of soy sauce in mine. Either way, cheers.

Gin is too good to mix with anything but tonic.

Step 1: Fill low ball glass with ice

Step 2: Cover ice with favorite vodka

Step 3: Squeeze juice of 1/4 to 1/2 a lime. Or use a few dashes of lime concentrate

Step 4: Drink

I don’t doubt that this is enjoyable on alcohol terms, but I have no desire to ever drink vodka that straight anymore.

Replace spicy V8 with Clamato.

You made a Ceaser.

Welcome to Canada. We put seafood  in our alcohol!

Tomorrow, we’ll make a whisky sour with an anchovy. Stay tuned!

I’ll allow a splash of water or even sparkling water (I typically make guests vodka pellegrinos). If it’s breakfast, throw in some OJ, sparkling water, and maybe a dash of lime.

I like vodka, but I get it. I cannot do rum straight anymore. I had enough for at least one lifetime during my friend’s Jamaican wedding.

No. Clamato is for Micheladas.

Step 1: Cut lime in half.

Step 2: Open bottle of Bacardi 151.

Step 3: Lick/suck on lime (your preference).

Step 4: Drink from open bottle.

Step 5: Awake the following afternoon in a dumpster missing your pants and wonder how you got there.

Or dry Vermouth.  I do like a proper martini occasionally.

It’s worth it. Just make one, wait until you have a quarter left, prep the next one, and down the rest.

T here is value in what you speak - a splash of clam juice to the original recipe there can work too.  The only problem with bloody marys is the heartburn....
